Production process and equipment of powder coating

a Pre-mixed. Premixing is the first step in the powder coating production process. Its purpose is to mix and uniformly disperse all the components of the powder coating to provide raw materials for melt extrusion.

The equipment for premixing is a mixer. Common application models include high-speed mixers, hopper flipping mixers, V-shaped mixers, etc.

B Melt mixing. Melt mixing is an important part of powder coating production process. Its function is to melt shear the raw materials sufficiently at a given temperature to achieve a highly uniform dispersion of the premix.

The equipment for melt mixing is an extruder. Common application models are twin-screw extruders (double-screw extruder) and single screw extruder.

c Cold compression tablets. The cold pressed sheet is to roll the hot material discharged from the extruder into a 1-2mm thick belt, which is cooled to a solid state at normal temperature on the conveyor belt and crushed into sheet material (semi-finished product to be pulverized) by a crusher.
